The Board of Directors of Thinc Collective AB, “Thinc” or the “Company” has appointed Mats Ståhl as the new President and CEO, effective January 15, 2027. The appointment is part of a succession plan decided by the Board. Anders Wallqvist will remain as President and CEO until then. The Board also intends to propose that Anders Wallqvist be elected to the Board and thereafter appointed as Executive Chairman with responsibility for strategic development. The current Chairman of the Board, Hans Jacobsson, is intended to remain as a member of the Board.
– On behalf of the board, I am very pleased to welcome Mats Ståhl as the new CEO of Thinc. He is an experienced leader with a strong combination of leadership experience and commercial expertise in media and communication. These qualities will be of great importance to Thinc in the next phase of the company's development, says Hans Jacobsson, Chairman of the Board.
Mats Ståhl, who is currently responsible for Thinc's subsidiary Context Media Stockholm, has extensive experience from senior positions in media and communications, including as CEO of PlayAd Media Group and Show Heroes Group and Sales Director at TV4 Gruppen.
– I would also like to thank Anders Wallqvist for his commitment and valuable contributions to Thinc. At the same time, it feels secure that Anders will remain in the company and contribute to continuity in connection with the transition to Mats and in the continued strategic development work, Hans Jacobsson continues.
The change of CEO does not entail any change in Thinc's overall strategic direction, operational priorities, financial targets or commitments to customers, partners and shareholders. The Board of Directors of Thinc intends to call an extraordinary general meeting in January 2027 to propose that Anders Wallqvist be elected to the Board. Provided that the general meeting resolves in accordance with the proposal, the Board of Directors then intends to appoint Anders Wallqvist as Chairman of the Board.
